Lt. Col. Brian O'Reilly

Lt. Col. Brian O’Reilly enlisted in the National Guard in 1984 after graduating with BA from California State University in Pennsylvania. He managed the Global War on Terrorism deployment of troops.

 

In 2006 he was deployed to Iraq for 14 months where he served as Provost Marshal for 25,000 troops. On returning to St. Croix he served as the State Recruiting & Retention Battalion Commander, increasing the visibility of the Guard and raising recruiting numbers. At present he is Human Resource Officer in charge of all full time staff.

 

Aside from his military life, Col. O’Reilly is involved in scouting, one of the founders of the Caribbean Drag Racing Association, and an avid cyclist. He is also interested in preserving the history of the Virgin Islands. Married for 34 years with four beautiful children
